Revolutionizing Home Care
Project Overview
iHomeCare is an on-demand home healthcare marketplace that makes it easier for individuals and families to find, compare, and book trusted caregivers, qualified healthcare professionals, and medical services at home. Similar to a service marketplace such as Gojek or Grab, the product connects users with care providers and healthcare-related products through one accessible digital experience.
The Challenge
Finding reliable home care can be stressful and fragmented. Families may need to search for a caregiver, arrange a specific medical procedure such as catheter insertion, or find the right healthcare equipment to buy or rent. The challenge was to bring these different needs into one clear and reassuring marketplace journey.
My Role
As the UI/UX and Product Designer, I worked on the marketplace experience, service discovery, information architecture, booking flows, service and provider presentation, equipment catalog structure, responsive UI, and visual design.
The Solution
I designed iHomeCare as a guided home healthcare marketplace. Users can explore service categories, understand what each service includes, choose the type of support they need, and continue to a booking or equipment order journey with greater confidence.
Key Features
Search and discovery for caregivers and qualified healthcare professionals
Booking flow for in-home care services
Medical services such as catheter insertion
Service categories for different home healthcare needs
Healthcare equipment catalog for purchase or rental
Clear service details, requirements, and availability information
Structured scheduling and address selection flow
Simple navigation designed for family members and caregivers
Design Focus
The design focuses on trust, clarity, and ease of decision-making. Healthcare marketplace users need to understand who will provide the service, what support is included, and what they should prepare before booking. The interface therefore uses clear categories, reassuring content, and structured steps to reduce uncertainty.
Outcome
The final product direction turns a fragmented home healthcare search into a more accessible on-demand experience, connecting families with caregivers, healthcare professionals, medical services, and healthcare equipment through one consistent platform.
